With more than 75 million of these workers hitting the working scene, it is important that construction companies and hiring managers learn to get a leg up on their recruiting and retention of these millennials.

- The millennial generation is extremely career focused. They will be looking to work for companies where they will have the opportunity to advance. Make sure that you have programs in place to foster this type of career advancement, and use it as a marketing tool to attract workers.
- Because this generation is tech savvy, they easily get bored, therefore, it is important that you allow cross training and other education programs. They want to constantly be learning new skills and be able to use those skills for advancement.
- The benefits and perks requested by this generation will be different than any before. Make sure you understand and know what types of benefits and perks will matter.
